US 114 is currently at Søren’s shop in Alameda undergoing a bow to stern retrofit. New keel bolt has been installed, an old heavy plywood rudder has been replaced with a newer, much lighter fiberglass foam core rudder, along with new rudder fittings. All teak exterior has been replaced and most of the running rigging has been upgraded and replaced. A new bilge pump was also installed.

US 114 is on its way to set a new standard for fiberglass Folkboats.
